Power Products LLC in Menomonee Falls, WI is adding a Marine Technical Services Representative to their team. Reporting to the Technical Service Leader this position significantly contributes to a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, our Marine/Mobile business is hiring a full time Technical Support Representative to the team. The position requires a background and experience in the Marine and/or RV markets and an understanding of electrical products, systems and their applications. Knowledge of ABYC, RVIA standards is also helpful. The technical support position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage customer expectations and basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and product recommendations to the marine and
    mobile customers.
• Answer product questions including features, benefits, installation, appropriate
    sizing of products, interaction with other products within the applications, etc.
• Ability to resolve customer questions by responding to detailed questions,
    answer voicemails, responding to email, etc.
• Develop and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and
    customer relations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose the products using schematics, wiring diagrams
    and assorted tools
• Provide product warranty service for distributor and End-User products
• Provide written evaluations to the Quality and Product Managers on
    returned products
• Basic computer and writing skills


Required Skills

• Two Year College Degree in relevant field required
• 3-5 Years of applicable Marine (Boat yard)/Mobile (Plant Assembly) with
    repair experience in electrical and electronics
• ABYC Certification is a Plus
• Battery Charging Knowledge
• Installation of Power Systems onboard Boat/Vehicle
• Proven advanced troubleshooting skills and experience/ability to work
    through conflict and use effective problem solving techniques
• Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing,
    speaking & telephone)
• Handle calls associated with our business responsively, tactfully
    and diplomatically


Required Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to work through conflict and use effective problems
    solving techniques
• Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic an ability to multi-task
• Problem solving and analysis; interpersonal relations; verbal and written
    communications; organization and leadership
• Practical experience and knowledge of AC and DC Marine electrical (wiring,
    wire termination, basic circuit analyze, use of DVM)
• Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
    schematics, operation and maintenance manuals in English
• Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite,
    Oracle and ability to learn internal business systems)
• Team player with good organizational skill and time management
• Ability to travel (20% or more) as needed for business
